The Eagle Huntress

Saturday August 26

5:30 PM  –  7:30 PM

Come see an awe-inspiring tale of family, empowerment, and the enduring bond between humans and nature. “The Eagle Huntress” follows Aisholpan, a 13-year-old girl, as she trains to become the first female in twelve generations of her Kazakh family to become an eagle hunter, and rises to the pinnacle of a tradition that has been handed down from father to son for centuries.

Curator and falconer Leah Valerio will bring that tradition front-and-center with a flight demonstration featuring Seraphina, a red-tailed hawk under her care (as animal care permits).

$5 suggested donation. Proceeds support The Wild Center raptor care programs.
