Class:  Seeing As a Creative Act

This class focuses on art appreciation and improving latent creativity. Rather than focusing on creating a finished piece of art, participants will focus on ways of seeing and processing art. A sketchbook will be provided.

Through various art images and demonstrations the class will explore how we can, in a very meaningful way, enhance the quality of our everyday life using practical approaches to increase awareness and even improve interaction with others by "taking off the blinders."  Wait there's more!!  If you act now you can get a free set of Ginsu knives...well maybe not...by the way bring your sense of humor.  These are a few of the topics we will cover:

-How past experiences shape present perceptions.
-How does our unique personal relationships with the world color our understanding of and prejudices for certain aesthetic experiences.
-Discuss various approaches of how we can appreciate/analyze a wide range of art.
-The art of Zen and how it can enhance awareness of our way of looking and perceiving daily experiences.
-Everyday use of creativity and how it can improve our lives.
