Catharine’s life as an artist began in her early years spent in the Berkshires of northwestern Connecticut, where she was exposed to the natural beauty of the mountains and lakes. When she discovered the Adirondack Mountains and lakes, there was an instant affinity. She received her degree in Fine Art from the College of Mount Saint Vincent on the Hudson River in New York State, an MA in Education from New York University, and an MA in Art Therapy from Marywood University. After a career as a teacher and therapist, Catharine returned to the Adirondacks and began watercolor painting.
