Pastel chalks are an easy and almost an instantly rewarding way to be creative! This pastel drawing workshop is led by skilled teaching artist Frances Gaffney. Participants will learn the process of drawing the landscape with chalk pastels and explore new ways of seeing. A variety of materials will be discussed.
Artist Bio: Frances divides her time between living and working on a houseboat, on the Hudson River in New York City, and at a camp in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains. She has been painting since 1974. After attending the Fashion Institute of Technology she worked in New York as a textile designer; both as a free-lance artist and as a full-time print designer in a commercial studio.
